It describes his life and childhood in Mount Lebanon during the First World War, and the famine that ended the life of thousands. Chapter two discusses his activities in Brazil working with guidance of his father Khalil Saadeh, one of the leading figures in Syrian modernism. Chapter three presents his adventure in establishing the Syrian Nationalist Party and his arrests three times by the French colonial authorities. The other chapters covers his travel to Europe, Brazil and his forced exile in Argentina. The book ends with his return to Lebanon and the immediate warrant arrest against him.
